Legendary Band Reunite for One Last Show (Kings of the Wyld - Book)

A short review at the corner of the store summarizes a story of a legendary rock band coming back together for one last show. Swap the rock band with mercenary band, and you get Kings of the Wyld. To be honest, if it wasn't for that small piece of paper, I might have missed this book.

I imagined scenes where the group would be caught off guard with the trends of younger bands. True enough, five chapters into the story, they came across a new generation of warriors - one of which are warrior-girls with novel armors with screaming fans, akin to today's pop stars.

Half the book is only about getting the band back together. A little lengthy but it was essential to illustrate the personalty of each band member. They are Slowhand Clay Cooper, Golden Gabe, Arcandius Mook, Matty Skulldrummer and Ganelon. Each of them is unique and interesting. Already there are fan arts on the Net of the different characters just with two books in the series from the author. Definitely adapt-to-movie material.

The band's journey is a slow and painful one, like an old man coming out of retirement (pun intended). Nevertheless, it's 500 pages worth of characters, courage, companionship and comedy.
