Desperados (Movie Review)
One of the latest movie on Netflix, Desperados is a story about Wesley, a struggling guidance counselor who accidentally sent a harsh e-mail to her new boyfriend because he did not contact her for five days. Turns out he had an accident in Mexico and could not reach her. So off she went on a journey south with her two best friends to delete the e-mail she sent from her boyfriend's devices.
My first impression about the movie was that we've seen the same kind of story somewhere before. Swap the characters and locations and you get a different story. Ish. A group of friends traveling across a far distance to help that one friend to settle an issue. That issue usually is a minor problem, but is always seems important for the main character. This leads to a lot of foolish but funny moments.
In this movie, Wesley needs to go through such things as climbing through an electric fence and handling a kid who keeps hitting on her, with his angry mother always in tow. For the rest, and whether Wesley succeeded in saving her relationship, you need to see the movie yourself. Watch for a good laugh or if you're into romantic comedies.
