The F**k It List (Movie Review)
A story about a high school senior, Brett Blackmore, best student of his school who got offered to 7 out of the 8 Ivy League universities he applied to. The remaining university, Harvard, just put him on a waiting list. Coincidentally, his parents had set their eyes only on that institution from the beginning. They even have this 18-year plan for their son. Brett on the other hand, has always obeyed what his parents want, and has never do things that he wants to do.
Things flipped 180 degrees for him when he was caught in the middle of a prank that accidentally set fire to his school. Overnight he went from having offers from the most prestigious universities in the country, to having nothing. Nothing but a waiting list. Being at his lowest point and having nothing else to lose, he finally made a move on his long time crush, Kayla.
This made him feel good and he uploaded a video talking about it and a list of things he wanted to do, but was afraid to do before (including snapping in half a musical instrument that his parents asked him to learn to play since he was a boy) and shared the video with his friends. Unbeknownst to him, he accidentally shared the video publicly on social media and it became viral worldwide, gained him thousands of followers and turned his life to another direction.
This story tried to illustrate how the younger generation could break tradition and carve their own destiny. Personally I think some things in this movie are a little bit far-fetched. Nevertheless, it's still a fun movie to watch.
