Done Reading Your First Comic? What's Next?
So you've read your first comic book? What's next? Did you like the story? Or did you like the art?
When looking for your next comic book, watch out for the writers and artists. This is essential on some of the steps that comes next.
1. Continue Reading the Series
If you liked the story, you might want to go for the next story in the same series. It is usually written by the same writer. In the case of my last post, the writer is Geoff Johns. So the next two collections in the series are:
Justice League (New 52) Volume 2: The Villain's Journey
Justice League (New 52) Volume 3: Throne of Atlantis
Justice League (New 52) Volume 3: Throne of Atlantis
Take note, however, Volume 3 of this series is illustrated by different teams of artists from the first two volumes.
2. Read Comics from the Same Writer
You might also want to check comics written by the same writer as your first comic. Geoff Johns wrote most of the Justice League (New 52) comics, but you may want to check his other works, My personal favorite is his Green Lantern stories published between 2005 to 2013. Check out the below:
Green Lantern: No Fear
3. Go For Comics from the Same Artists
Jim Lee, Scott Williams and Alex Sinclair are known to collaborate on quite a few works. If you liked the art of the comic from the previous post, you can check out these two:
Batman: Hush
Superman: For Tomorrow
Writers and artists each has their own style. I only shared the ones I like. It's really up to you to find out what you like.
If you add some pictures with your post that will be more interesting. The background is quite dark for someone who has problem with eye sight. All the best for you.
ReplyDeleteOh wow...the background layout looks better...thank you for your attention...will definitely try your recommendation...
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments. I have included some pictures to spice things up and switched the background to a lighter shade.
